The 14th edition of the world's leading trade show for transport technology and mobility from 24 to 27 September 2024 is attracting more exhibitors than ever. At the start of this InnoTrans year 99 per cent of the display area is already booked up.
“We are pleased to be able to present exhibitors and trade visitors with eye-catching innovations at this year’s InnoTrans, an event that always has its finger on the pulse of the industry. Be it for new trains, live demonstrations of electric buses, AI, the Career Boost, world innovations or the first Railfluencer Festival, it is becoming more diverse, digital and sustainable. Once again, InnoTrans underlines its importance as the world’s largest trade fair for mobility of the future. We can hardly wait for it to start”, said a delighted Kerstin Schulz, director of InnoTrans.
Covering a total of 200,000 square metres and featuring 42 halls, the rail track and outdoor display site as well as the Bus Display in the Summer Garden, the Berlin Exhibition Grounds are almost fully booked. Everything to do with transport technology – Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Tunnel Construction, Public Transport and Interiors – is on show at InnoTrans.
Already it is becoming clear that international exhibitor numbers will break all records. Current bookings indicate that over 60 per cent of exhibitors are from abroad. Among them are 18 international transport companies such as Deutsche Bahn, Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB), China Railways, Polskie Koleje Państwowe (PKP), Turkish State Railways (TCDD), Etihad, SAR from Saudi Arabia, RTA from Dubai, Infrabel from Belgium, Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail) and the Moroccan National Railways Office. In addition, 16 international industry associations are showcasing the economic strength of the industry in their countries. Switzerland, Argentina, Korea, Spain, China, the UK, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Japan, Slovakia, Australia and Brazil are among those hosting combined stands. Ukraine will also be represented again with a combined stand at InnoTrans.
Focus on AI: AI Mobility Lab and guided tour of the fair
The new AI Mobility Lab in the Public Transport segment in Hall 7.1a is in great demand. The area featuring companies representing AI, robotics, cybersecurity and data protection for transport systems is almost booked up. A few fully equipped turnkey stands are still available for companies interested in taking part. Exhibitors include Konux, the first AI scale-up offering genuine solutions for predictive maintenance, network capacity and traffic monitoring as well as planning for rail infrastructure management. Isarsoft is exhibiting an AI-based video analysis tool for planning, operations and security. Other exhibitors include DRAIVE GmbH, Nexterite, Tritem Microsystems GmbH, Ostirion and Engineering Ingegneria Informatica S.p.A. Visitors can look forward to an informative supporting programme with leading speakers onstage in the hall. A keynote speech by startup entrepreneur and cybersecurity expert Mirko Ross on the security aspects of new technologies has already been confirmed.
Furthermore, a guided tour of AI exhibits followed by lunch will start daily at the AI Mobility Lab and take a look at AI-based solutions/products everywhere at InnoTrans. Afterwards, participants will be able to exchange views on the tour highlights over lunch.
First-class service: Hospitality Forum
Being able to provide first-class service is crucial in order to be competitive. With the Hospitality Forum, InnoTrans addresses the topics of passenger comfort, entertainment and catering. The event organised by the International Rail Catering Group (IRCG) gathers experts who will discuss the importance of providing additional rail passenger services. The forum is a supporting feature of the signposted Travel Catering & Comfort Services segment in Hall 1.1 with around 15 exhibitors.
Well-connected: first Railfluencer Festival
Networking and getting to know each other are what the first international Railfluencer Festival is all about. On the morning of Friday, 27 September 2024, influencers and bloggers will meet up with the communicators of the who’s who of the mobility sector. The programme features brief lectures, photo sessions and networking opportunities.
