Circle S.p.A. (“Circle”), a Company leading its own Group specialized in process and
management consulting services, and in providing innovative technological solutions for transport and logistics sector, confirms and strengthens its presence in the MED area with a new cooperation with U.N.Ro-Ro., main Turkish operator which has lately become part of DFDS Group, and Samer Seaports & Terminals.
This partnership is focused on the development of a project proposal about the International Trade Lanes simplifications and Customs / Security procedure evolution using also Internet of Things technologies.
The general objective of the initiative is to enable wider use of digital technologies to contribute to: (i) removing barriers to the smooth functioning of the single market; (ii) the modernization of the economy; and (iii) the greater efficiency of the transport sector.
The international pilot is intended to provide a harmonized and interoperable digital solution in the MED area, developing a Fast Procedure project between Italy and Turkey to start with the connection between ports of Trieste (in particular, Samer Seaports terminal, which is also controlled by U.N.Ro-Ro.), Mersin and Pendik.
The project is also inserted inside an EU proposal that will last a little more than 3 years and provides for a total cost of over EUR 7 million, with a possible funding of over EUR 3.5 million.
With this new cooperation with U.N.Ro-Ro., Circle continues its growth abroad as laid out in its 2022 development plan.
