The family-owned company based in Rostock has been relying on the robust vehicle types of the TII Group since 2009 and thereby transports in particular large components for the off-shore industry weighing up to 1,700 tonnes.
The Krebs Group has a workforce of more than 400 employees and is active in Northern Germany. The core business of the company is internal transport on shipyards and port facilities in Europe. For these complex transportation assignments at industrial companies and shipyards, the Krebs Group uses InterCombi SPE self-propelled heavy-duty modules from Scheuerle Fahrzeugfabrik which is part of the TII Group. Since 2009, the two companies have had a mutually beneficial business relationship. Up to now, 60 axle lines have been reliably used in numerous transport operations. Added to this are 30 new axle lines which were handed over on 22nd March at Transport fair 2019 in Denmark.
Managing Director, Detlef Krebs, appreciates the long service life and robustness of Scheuerle's InterCombi and emphasized: "The three metre wide loading area and the hydraulic axle compensation in particular ensure a high level of safety for the load as well as the vehicle during transportation. The coupling capability of the modules across all vehicle generations shows the flexibility of the vehicle concept and, most importantly, makes it future-proof. Together with a great cost/performance ratio, the InterCombi SPE is ideally suited for our business."
